In India(West Bengal), Durga puja is an auspicious festival which is celebrated for 10 days marking the glory of art and unification of people from across the world.
•The first day is called Mahalaya.
•On Mahalaya ,sculptors, who have been working for days ,carving and chiseling the statue of Durga, carry out their final touch of drawing the eyes of the Mother.
•This custom has to be done at 12:00 am on the first day.
•That's what my art displays. (An artist drawing the eyes of Goddess Durga in candlelight at midnight.)
