Oh boy time to come up with info for this thing on the spot to make this interesting uuuhh....
The glowing prince is a whale-like species that lives in the deeper depths of the colder regions of the world..They feed on many types of plankton and bacteria that give the species their glowing bodies. The lighter the glow the healthier one is.
Since they stick out a lot they both attract food and predators. They aren't great at combat so they evolved to be quite fast and their fins are easily repaired/regenerated. The spines on their back can ward of predators as well as flatten to appear more friendly. They sing in frequencies only able to be heard by their kind that are received through special horns and their said spines.
