She is a puppet made by elf who acts like the court jester of Enchantopia. Even though she loves putting on performances, she wonders if she only made for entertainment. Jouette wonders what it's like to live without strings. When she met Gabriella Catherine, at first she was a little obsessive asking what's it like to be real, but after Jouette tells Gabriella about the void she feels inside of her even though enjoying entertaining people, Gabriella tells Jouette that she never left the orphanage before coming to Enchantopia and seeing all kinds of magical creatures, and maybe she just needs a friend, and the 2 became close allies right away.
