sushisaurus( the primal ancestor of sushi dog ) has a thick shell, made of bone not cartilage like most fish 'bones' , it is a defensive herbivore, which uses it's large size to scare away predators from their young. their shell can also be used as a way to fight for a mate between 2 bulls. it is a semi-aquatic creature which starts out in life a full land scavenger
