When I was in elementary school, karate became an extracurricular that was required by school. All students must to buy a karate uniform. My family were going through a tough financial phase. My parents couldn't buy me a karate uniform. However, I still join the class without using the uniform. I was the only child who didn't wear the uniform. Tired and angry because all of my friends made fun of me. So, I start my own battle to have those uniform with my own effort. I collect the money that my parents give to me for a lunch, Rp1.000/day. I collected the money for a week, then paid it to the school cooperative every friday. Then, I didn't have lunch for almost two months at school. After two months of battling with hunger, I was able to buy a karate uniform with my hard work. Yes, I win the small battle of life. When my parents know, they cried really hard because they couldn't make me happy like the other parents do. But they proud of me, for everything I've been through.
