Arrowyn is the main protagonist of the Wonder Island: Hero of Brightwater manga series created by Liam Gray. He is loosely based on Cú Chulainn from Irish folklore and mythology. His appearance and characteristics are also similar to retro video game heroes Link (Legend of Zelda) and Shion (Wonder Boy in Monster World). Arrowyn made his debut in Wonder Island: Hero of Brightwater Chapter #1: Shine-Shine Eternal – The Indominable Spirit of Youth! published by Conquest Comics in 2021. Born to an unknown mother and father, Arrowyn is a compassionate troublemaker that was rescued from the wicked witch Yagra as a baby and raised by the sprites of Brightwater. He is a skilled swordsman, a strong user of Thunder magic and when he drinks the fabled Hero Water his body transforms into living gold—granting him superhuman strength and durability for a limited time!
