I'm going back in time, to my village home in a winter evening. Dewdrops are glistening like beads of pearls in the moonlight. Everyone in the house has gathered in the yard. Grandma is telling her bone chilling stories again. The whole kitchen is filled with the aroma of ripen rice - the long awaited rice pies are being cooked! It's that time of the year again, a feast to celebrate the new harvest of crops and hope for prosperity. Cold breeze is blowing from the southern sky, giving shivers down to the spine. But there is still warmth of togetherness, and the fireplace of course. Sparks of the burning woods are flying away to the sky like fireflies. The stories lost in time comes back to life with sweet and delicious cakes made with love. My type of feast!
