An illustration of a dancer dressed in different Russian traditional outfits. I paid particular attention to the kokoshniks (an element of Russian traditional costume) and the traditional single braid hairstyle, including the crown braid.
I wanted to modernise the traditional aspect a bit, so I added elements of suprematism (a Russian art movement of early 20th century). I have also went for a design that alludes to those of the Ballet Russes pieces (also of the early 20th century), in an effort to combine tradition and modernity.
