I have designed the character as a fun and lively girl. She is a pre-teen with a bubbly personality.
Whenever an image of a young girl and the color pink comes to mind, a heart image cannot be far behind from the frame. So i decided to add hearts as a significant feature to both her coat and shoes.
I have added purple highlights on her hair to match the lighter shade of purple dots on the tree to blend with the background. This particular scene captures the girl happily skipping forward stopping abruptly and making a half hearted turn around as somebody calls out her name. The expression on her face is of someone in happy anticipation.
