He is a good character. And still can't believe they just send him to America because of the plot. I had some hope that they'll give him more sceen time. Eh, but sending him away is better than killing him, so we at least know he is safe. Also, I love this character for pointing out that Conan was hiding behind sleeping Kogoro. :'D
