"Aiko" is an energetic 13-year-old girl. She was Kakeru's childhood friend a long time ago. Her dad used to work for Blue Hunter as a Navigation Officer, he got a mission to survey the pacific ocean so he had to sail the ship and bring Aiko along with him when she was 5. Aiko was trained by his dad, so she is very good at swimming, but she always slips whenever she walks. After her dad died, she had to live with Kakeru at the Orca and become a cadet.
She is an observant, brave, and talkative person. She loves to help people and sea creatures. She always fights with Kakeru over small things and sticks with Viola.
Aiko brings her favorite doll called "Kiki" with her everywhere. It was made by her dad before he was gone. He knew that Aiko was scared of darkness, so he made a big yellow seahorse doll that could turn the light on.
