Swordo, Son of Swordo boldly rides into battle against the evil that is AKU!
Swordo is the deuteragonist from the hit new manga series, WONDER ISLAND!
This piece was inspired during a late night laugh session between my artist and I over the unintended similarities between Gendy Tarkovsky's silent samurai and our own stoic swordsman, Swordo. Yuka Cross composed and illustrated the piece as a homage by using her Sharingan (写輪眼) Eyes to imitate the ironic artstyle of Tarkovsky. The entire process took her just under 2 hours. The whole process was a lot of fun!
