This illustration is about Geiko and Maiko of Kyoto, keepers of time-honored traditional dance and music. As Maiko with her sweet and colorful images and Geiko with her elegant images.
I depicted Maiko on the left because she is an apprentice, like a starting point, she need to training in various arts, before graduating to become Geiko.
And Geiko on the right because she is on the Master Level.
