In this AU, Shiro died around the end of season 2 due to an ion cannon. Because of this, Allura becomes angry and demands that the Paladins step down. Instead, they all split up. Lance goes to Earth and meets Soco, a retired Galra soldier. Aplah, an assassin for Zarkon, is sent to kill Soco. After getting away, Allura finds Lance on Earth (Pidge and Hunk are with Lance along with their alien friends). Soco tries the Black Lion and it chooses him, so Soco is the new Black Paladin in this AU. Keith also went to the Galra and he's changing into something more Galra. He's an antagonist in this story I'm writing.
