The ending was satisfying I think, it was better than the Arc-V ending, if you have only seen the 5D's dub, you might disagree, not all the episodes were released in the dub, so if you want to know what happens next, I think it was episode 137 where I continued in the sub.
So now 5D's has ended for me, it's probably my second favorite series, with Zexal as number 1, also in the last episode (154) of 5D's Yusei and Aki\Akiza had some screen time together that was kinda romantic, 'tis my favorite ship.
