I stayed hidden in the woods, covering my ears against the sound of the destruction and battling behind me. On one hand, I was relieved that Drake was okay, but I saw new scars on Ruin, probably from Demise, Gigaboss's Zoid. He must have been punished for helping me escape, and he could be mad at me. I didn't know what to do if he saw me; he was always so volatile and fickle with me. Apparently, Team Freedom drove him off and came looking for me. They found me, and I told them about Drake, and how he helped me escape, and was punished because of me. Arashi explained to me that Drake's parents came to work for the Empire as archeoligists, unearthing old Zoid parts, and they took him along. He was younger back then, and was scarred for life after Gigaboss got rid of them and forced Drake to choose between his two Zoids and work for him. I felt even worse then. I'd been asking him about a past that hurt him to think about. They promised me that they would bring Drake back. To be continued
