well..
It's been almost three years since my diagnosis. I thought I'd share my story!

Around three years ago, I lost a lot of weight. I weighed around 50 pounds as a nine year old. My mom eventually took me to a doctor, who pricked my finger and tested my blood sugar. I didn't understand what was happening then, but all of a sudden, I was in an ambulance heading for a hospital. Now I understand it. My blood sugar was very high, and I was being sent to the nearest hospital that could actually care for me. I stayed in the hospital for a week. After I was let out, I went back to school. I saw my best friend at the time, Shade, walking up the stairs. I called out to her and waved. She didn't look back. She ignored me.
I tried talking to her every chance I got, but it was like she had forgotten me. Like she didnt care.
Everyone was staying away from me. They thought I was contagious, even though I clearly stated I was not.
I kept trying.
All year.
To get Shade to talk to me.
She never even looked at me.
Needless to say, I spent most of the fifth grade alone.
My best friend ditched me in my time of need.
Anyways, sixth grade rolled around, and I made an amazing new best friend.
Tech.
She stuck by me and was an amazing friend.
That's the end of my story. I know its not very eventful, but it's important to me. It marks the biggest change in my life I've ever had.
