I’m glad
My once-in-a-blue-moon rant:
I’m happy with the festival song choices my band teacher chose, one of them specifically. It’s called Stay and at the heading it said something like “the world is better with you in it” because it was part of a project.
I only play the vibraphone for that song, but it adds on to the whole thing which emphasizes the heading!
That song always makes me want to cry whenever we do a full run of it, I play with percussion so I hear what they do. In one of the frantic parts of the song, I’m playing quicker notes while the bass drum is playing a quick heartbeat- it feeds into the emotion that builds within the whole band and it makes me feel emotional myself 🗿
I could go on about this song, it impacts me mentally because of the meaning and also the emotion. I’ve dealt with a l o t during my time in highschool, and Stay makes me push through with the school year in a way. the students we’ve lost during my time in Highschool keeps an impact on me and many other students, this song nearly comforts that feeling.it also helps me with how I felt with depression and all of that stuff, I’ve had a *rough* few years
The ritardandos that are used in the music is SOUL CRUSHING too, I can’t wait to play it for festival. It’s my last festival anyway, I’m going to try my best
