"I thought this was going to be fun!" Foxpaw complained her bushy tail fluffing up. Petalfall looked at her, her indigo eyes with annoyance. "You are not a kit anymore Foxpaw. Things aren't just fun and games anymore." She paused her tail twitching, "This is the real world Foxpaw. Get used to it!" Petalfall snarled. Her fur was bristling. Foxpaw looked at the marigold on the dusty den floor. "At least I'm not in love with a she-cat from HollyClan." She muttered under her breath. Petalfall froze, dropping the herbs that were in her mouth. She slowly turned around. Her voice shaking, she mewed slowly, "Th....t-that is n-none of your c-concern F-foxpaw..." Petalfall's beautiful heather coloured eyes started to water. "You. You have no heart, no love for anyone!" she paused to wipe her eyes with her long brown tail. "You hav-" Foxpaw interrupted. "Nobody cares. Get a life or get out." Petalfall looked at her Her eyes were filled with an emotion no one can describe. She simply stood up and left the den kicking dirt into Foxpaw's eyes. "You disgusting rat." Petalfall muttered.
Foxpaw was furious. "She'll be back. I don't care." Deep down in her heart, there was sadness.
She started finishing sorting herbs and waited for her to come.
