I said this before and I'll say it again
Tricolor during splatfests should only be worth 8 points total. Not 12.
Nobody fucking plays tricolor because its always mirror matches and people who don't know how to play tricolor. If your mode is so shit nobody wants to play it, it shouldn't be worth that many points. Not to mention, because of its insane total points compared to other modes and categories it can lead to bullshit wins like the one we just had with this splatfest. Frye had the most categories over all, she had the conch shell rates, overall vote, and open battles. Shiver had two, pro battles and tricolor.
You can this raging or whatever to satisfy your tiny non competitive casual brain, but this is a serious issue that has happened in multiple splatfests. Remember Nessie vs. Aliens vs. Bigfoot? Yeah it was the most balanced splatfest I could find (that I participated in) and the only reason Shiver won was because of tricolor.
