anime/manga review: Chrono Crusade
I think it'd be cool to write some anime and manga reviews on here, so here's one I will be reviewing, tho i'm not very good at explaining things: Genre: Action, Adventure, Shonen, Romance, Religious. Manga Age Rating: Teen. Anime Age Rating: Mature.
I really liked this one, I read the manga and watched the anime and the stories in both of them are a bit different, i'm not gonna say very much on the story so that way I don't spoil. So basically it's about a nun named Rosette who makes a contract with the demon Chrono to help find her little brother who was taken away by the demon Aion, and with the contract Chrono gets more power from this seal thing but whenever it's used Rosette loses some of her life, so she won't live very long. I will warn that it does have some fan service/suggestive content, the anime more so than the manga, and it's pretty violent too, so I wouldn't recommend it for children. The ending was sad in both the manga and the anime, but the anime ending was sadder and made me cry more 😭
It is also a very religious anime too, so if you don't like that kind of stuff you probably wouldn't care for this one, but if you're a Christian like me, or Catholic you might like it :>
I HAD MORE STUFF TO WRITE PLANNED OUT IN MY HEAD BUT NOW I'VE FORGOTTEN MOST OF IT
The manga is 8 volumes and the anime is 24 episodes, there's also a special comedy spinoff series too but I haven't watched it yet.
Also it is an older series so the manga is a bit hard to find, I own 7 of the volumes and I just read the last one on a site cuz I couldn't find a decent price for the last one 😭
It would be cool if it got a remake anime that's more accurate to the manga, but that's VERY unlikely since this series isn't popular at all
Anyways I think maybe the manga is a 9/10 and the anime is an 8/10
