3. they trace a drawing from the original creator, then claims it as theirs and tells you not to steal “their” art.
4. finds a base/reference and poorly traces it, and they don’t even ask permission, though.

1. literally just reposts/steals someone’s art.
2. they really like the artist’s art, so they steal it from them and claims it “theirs”.
3. have some art they took on their account from one or multiple artists.

so, i guess a tracer and an art theif aren’t the same after all (though they are simular in some ways).
