I'm gonna be taking a short break from social media
I think I just need to take some time away from it, I've dealt with quite a bit of bullying on instagram and today was one of those days, I was writing a topic in detail about it but accidentally exited out and I don't wanna hafta rewrite that 💀 but that bully called my art bland etc etc, acted like it wasn't an insult even though they called it s**t, and when I gave them the actual definition of bland which meant good things they said they meant the bad way and acted like I didn't know English???
I went into detail on what I was writing at first but I don't wanna rewrite it all but that person
Had no regard for how other people feel, has no respect for the dead, is technically racist, a gatekeeper, and just a plain bully

Having a "generic" art style is 100% okay and I genuinely do not understand why there's such stigma around it, it's okay to have a generic or "bland" art style as they called mine, just DON'T CALL PEOPLES ART GENERIC EVEN IF IT IS

My style may not be "unique" to them but it is to me, my experience as an artist, my love for art and the characters I draw, it feels unique to me, because I'm only me and no one else

I'd rather have some generic art style and be respectful to others than have some unique groundbreaking style and be a bully, that person wasn't even an artist though :/

Their bullying got so bad I started to cry, they'd insult me yet say it wasn't an insult, be slightly racist, disrespect a deceased artist I look up to, insult me personally, etc...

So yeah, I need a break from it all...

I bet they were like, 11 or something too, they kept using "^w^" while being genuinely mean 💀
