For writing better?
I see people write these little excerpts online and they’re so poetic and smooth I want to smother my face in a pillow and scream.
I know I’m not describing this very well, but does anyone know how to write like this? Or at least does anyone have any advice for getting better at writing?
Should I study poetry? Does anyone have any good poems for me to study?

Genre
I keep thinking of wild story ideas then backtracking because “that’s too unrealistic, there’s no way anyone would ever do that”
Then not even a couple days later I learn a little bit of history and realize that, in fact, people are stupid and heartless and would do that.
Recently I’ve begun rewarding myself for studying/doing school work with writing and drawing (specifically about this story idea I’ve been obsessed with).
The joy that these breaks bring me is ridiculous. All I am doing is drawing the same character I’ve drawn a million times. I am by all means an addict and it worries me a little.
I hope once I get this story done I will be able to move on. For now though, I might as well enjoy it and use it to my advantage, as I don’t think it causes any harm.
Anyone know how I should draw the hand (that weird little blob on the right)?

Last two look pretty sick But if it's the snow, maybe stick to cool/warm colours, and no need to be saturated with the snow. Look up snow envirionment paintings on Pinterest or somewhere, some people do really neat stuff and it may help you with ideas!

The times you post say a lot about where you are in the world
So does, especially, commenting on events in your area such as the weather
Posting pictures of things, especially nature/outdoors/flora or fauna related is a big giveaway of your location
While this won’t completely dox you, it could greatly help anyone who tries
I’m not saying be paranoid 24/7, if people know you post around eastern time that doesn’t mean they know who you are lol
However I think it’s something people need to be more aware of and need to think about.
Even if you think you’re too small of a creator, if you value your internet anonymity be cautious
Anyway, I’ll stop sitting atop my high horse, spouting nonsense, and get back to posting my crappy art again soon (hopefully lol)

A reminder to not fall victim to sunk-cost fallacy

Almost makes me glad so many people left bc I don’t want anyone to remember those
I just want to point out something I noticed regarding inactivity on this website. I’ll try to be brief
As myself and many more are experiencing less activity on this website I’m reminded of back when I was newer on the platform. I know myself and many others had more interactions and popularity back then, at least compared to now. However at the time I remember many other users, with accounts typically older than mine, stating how the platform had become inactive for them and they were leaving. Which confused me at the time because personally I hadn’t had troubles with it.
Now I’m starting to think that this may be a reoccurring issue for everyone, possibly not just the current state of the platform now.
I’m not sure why this happens, one theory of mine is that the older your account becomes the less people you follow/the less people follow you since you already are following many others/many others are following you. So you basically get stuck with a set amount of people and they eventually leave until the platform feels dead.
I could be stating already previously thought up things or I could be wrong so I’m going to try to test my theory out by posting on my alt account and my main account and I’ll tell you guys how it goes.
I’m not sure if I’ll have the time for this currently but it will be done.

I joined the site 7-8 years ago and this cycle is definitely a part of it Medi used to be fairly popular when i was around especially for its RP scene that me and some old and current friends were really popular for, which lead to building many popular smaller communities. A lot of the changes medi started taking in 2018 and onward made the site much harder to use (like taking out the in app interactions) and they made things feel more competitive than fun (like the ranking system and the difficulty to find new people now) plus a lot of us including the people of my time got older and moved on to better things. Medi never became a giant so staying set in here makes growth much harder, and people eventually move on to other platforms or with their lives. The older community washes out as a new community comes in and the cycle continues.

I’m a little late on this but-
They’re making a Transformers multiplayer game and I’m very excited for it!
It’s called Transformers: Reactivate, it looks very different from other Transformers games (could be the post apocalyptic feeling/ humans) but I’m exited to see what they do with it

I'm not exactly a writer- Though I do have fun with it sometimes. But I know there are these "rules" (make or break them) for smoother-sounding sentences in stories. Things like sensory language can help readers immerse themselves in a scene (use smell, sight, colours, and touch to your advantage), and there's alliteration techniques (example: sweet smile, wonderful world, cold catacombs) and more techniques! I recommend looking up "different language techniques" on Google, and take a look at what I'm talking about =>
