I plan to take a break from this site, most likely a permanent one (however I could always change my mind and come back) I just feel very unhappy with majority of the community in this fucking place 😭
I have very fond memories of the original medibang, and after being here for 3+ years i can say i’ve made some amazing friends and not so amazing friends, but slowly more and more people are leaving and unfortunately the newer people will never match the same energy the old site had. It’s become so dry, and I have no motivation to be here anymore, the only reason being the few friends that still remain on here
I loved my time on here, and its been cool to see myself and others grow, but its not enough to keep me here.
My life has been miserable for the past year and a half and this account hasn’t helped with coping, so im hoping that leaving here will also get a weight off of my back. I still plan to comment every now and then though, because I still want to support my friends. Feel free to chat with me a bit in the comments here if you’d like, i’d enjoy being able to say bye to people :)

I hate to be the one to possibly cause drama, but this does not sit right with me. The artist Eden_Mint aka The Nothing has done several things in the past that I don't think are okay, such as tracing, stealing designs, lying about stopping, etc. but the description of their latest post is just so insensitive. They talked about how one of their characters in their words “desperately wants to rape Eden and marry him, and have children with him by force” obviously, this is EXTREMELY not okay. Its one thing to have rape in a characters story as a way to vent out trauma, or feelings (as long it isnt glorifying it) but this does not feel like a way to vent. They said it so casually, like it was just a average, normal thing to say your ocs have a relationship like that. They also didn’t include any trigger warnings for the topic, which isn’t thoughtful because the topic can hurt so many people. They also just continued on with their description as if it was just fine to say something like that. I dont know if im just sensitive, but this feels wrong to me and i want to see how other people feel about this.
