don't get me wrong, I love the vibe with the new monster high designs but as someone who grew up with the og versions of these ghouls- idk, the aesthetics and personalities have changed so much-
clawdeen was the sassy fashionista, now she kinda looks like a netflix "quirky" main character for a teenage rom com
nothing about her character screams "diva" or sassy anymore, its just kinda bland. Tbh, her personality is kinda lost with the design and that makes me so sad :'D I haven't actually watched the new reboot but in my opinion, monster high was amazing in that you could tell what kind of character/personality each character had based off of there designs. Like Frankie had a nerdy chic style, which fit with their personality and vibe. Draculura had a cutsy goth chic style which fit with her bubbly personality too. Clawdeen had high fashion and the latest wears bc she was a fashionista etc etc
also as a clawdeen fan, the fact that they THREW her entire family and origin out of the window to make her half human, half werewolf in the live action 💀💀 for those who didn't know, LITERALLY ONE OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS DATED HER BROTHER AND HER LITTLE SISTER HAD A WHOLE MOVIE ABOUT HER AND A GENIE 💀💀💀
