Well, my little brother started having symptoms EXTREMELY similar to COVID-19. (Mind you, he's only 2) I am the only other person in the house that leaves for work and my father is a driver, so he don't talk to anyone or do anything outside of his own truck until the end of the day (which he washes up before he heads home). I myself am not feeling the greatest.
Of course my mind runs wild and I'm thinking that my little bro is about to die, only 2 years old and not seeing life as he should. I'm balling my eyes out, getting ready to cut my chest open and all that (literally, I thought about suicide because of this). We got tested and guess what...

...he is negative for COVID. But does have a flu-like virus that's not as lethal, I don't remember the name for it.

I don't know what I would have done if he had died from COVID. I just don't think I could live with myself knowing that I may have been responsible. Well, I'm torn apart and need some relaxing time because I think I may have broken my soul...

I won't be posting as much as Christmas nears, for obvious reasons. I will still be working on requests and other stuff as well. Also, at 30 followers, I plan on doing a sexuality reveal. It says "rather not say" on my bio, but I will post a topic and change my bio when that time comes.

Not that it's a big deal, just thought I'd let everyone know.

As a note on the requests, I can't draw humans very well so I won't be doing any of that.

I'm excited to see a lot of good YouTubers have made it to Medibang and are sharing their own creations here as well. I myself was going to join YouTube prior to joining Medibang, but I thought I'd better test my art first before doing speed-paints and what not.

As for the speed-paints and videos, I do have a YT account and channel. I do not, however, have any videos posted yet. That should change within the next year or two and I will post the speed-paint I did for The Awakening.

For recording speed-paints I use the Time-Lapse tool on Autodesk Sketchbook on my phone. Everything else is on Medibang Paint.

I plan on getting a drawing tablet soon, I'm in the process of finding one that will work with my phone or be a stand-alone tablet. The Huion Kamvas 13 looks pretty good, please let me know what you think of it if you have experience with one before.

I somehow lost my motivation to draw and can't think of anything or build up the will to draw something. This worries me as I have never encountered this before at this level. Sure, I've had art-block before, but it was never this bad. I guess I'll just post some of my past images until I figure something out.

I'll be doing a collab with a friend, but after that, well, I guess I won't know until then.

My sona (Snow) has gone through so many redesigns, I lost count of all the designs he's had. Prolly like 20 or something, I know it's more than 10 (9 for every year and then the one just recently).

I like his new design best though, he had too much blank space on him that needed covering.

I am 18 years old and able to post mature content, this includes high violence/blood content. I will not be posting anything sexual as that really isn't my style. Or at least I won't post that kind of stuff yet, I may change my mind somewhere in the far future.

I am saying this to warn anyone not 18 and up and viewing my content, however, it shouldn't be an issue because I will set them all as mature content.

Sharing Personal Thoughts, #7: Finding Something That Might become Yours

Gift Sneak Peak?
So, I just got home from work and was going about my casual chores. When I started cleaning the kitchen counters, I noticed a small book and wondered if I needed to throw it away or if it needed to be kept. Well, I picked it up to try and figure it out on my own, since everyone else was sleeping. It was a user manual, but for what? Curiosity edged me on and so I opened it. The user manual was for a new drawing tablet for digital art.

The only other person in my family that I can think of that would use something like that is my younger sister, who is in an entirely different state and already has a Wacom drawing tablet. So I don't think that it is going to anyone else. My parents (yes, I still live with them) love getting that genuine surprised expression and emotion from me so I just put the book back exactly as I found it and left the counters alone so it looked like I didn't see it.
I've been trying to tell myself that it's for someone else the past few days, but it's just been eating me alive so I thought I'd get it off of my chest.

I'm currently taking a Japanese class (reason why I reply in Japanese sometimes) and I'm finding it extremely hard to keep up with. I am far behind and in need of a lot of help.

I remember some of the ひらがな (hiragana) symbols, but not enough to have a conversation. Kanji, roomaji, and カタカナ (katakana), well--I don't remember anything other than Watashi in Kanji. The pronunciations are killing me too.

Forgive me for any misspellings or incorrect phrases in Japanese.

I am already very proud of the work I have done and am regretting stopping traditional art for the long time that I have now.

What I'm planning on doing is a Dragon Raja Blade Master themed version of Snow with his name in Japanese to the right on a black background. I'm doing the guide lines right now before I start the actual painting part of the project.

Having said that, it will take quite a few days to fully complete, but I'll keep everyone posted!

(I'm also gonna do a pastel and color pencil version on paper. I'll have three different kinds of the same piece of art.)

Sharing Personal Thoughts, #6: How does One Make Lineless Art?

A Seemingly Unachievable Art Style/Technique:
Every last one of my digital drawings were meant to be lineless, however, they clearly are not. I am having a lot of issues getting that nice lineless look, but I have pulled off a few lineless things in areas I would normally draw line art, such as Snow's tail fluff that isn't part of his outline.
I'm also having issues making nice fur, but that's another story.

Author's notes: I decided to post this story as a series using the topic system on Art Street/Medibang. WARNING: Foul language and violence/blood

Prologue:
"Echo one one nine three, this is Bravo One. I've got the package. I'm under heavy fire, I need back-up, now! I repeat, I need support!"
"None is available, you're on your own for now. You need to get to the evac location."
I grumbled in anger, "What the hell happened, where's the rest of Bravo team?"
"T-they're K.I.A. we're so sorry Aizuma."
"Shit," I sighed, "I'm heading out."
The sound of shouting and gunshots followed me as I ran to the nearest vehicle. I broke the driver side window and reached my arm through to let myself in. The truck was slightly hard to start, and the rain of bullets wasn't making it any easier.
"Fuck, come on. Come on! Start!" I took my forty-five pistol out and returned fire, trying to get somewhat of a break. The truck finally started when I tried again and I slammed it in gear. The tires screeched as I peeled out onto the road.
I waited until I got a bit further away from the shooting before I radioed headquarters again.
"I'm in an unmarked truck, eta twenty minu--Gah!" The trucked served to the left and flipped over as a bullet went through my ear, grazing the right side of my face.
I had just regained conscious when I could barely see someone walking up to the flipped vehicle.
"You should have stayed out of my business Aizu."
"I-Ifra-" *Click*
Shit, I'm done for.

Red Eyed, White Haired:

Ever since the creation of Snow Mizu Kazuki, I knew for sure I have found my perfect fursona. I now make every character on all games I can do this on with crimson red eyes and either blond or white hair, if not black hair. I also generally put black, gold, and/or white clothes on the characters when possible.

Sharing Personal Thoughts, #4: Snow's Original Eye Color

Red Accident?
It was by accident that I made Snow's eyes red rather than blue. It stuck with the character because it seemed to make him stand out and look more charming. However, his eyes were originally going to be a steel blue that fades to frost white when he's in a good mood.

There is a reason for this chosen original color. My own eyes are steel blue and changes shades of blue depending on the lighting and my mood. They lighten up when I'm happy and the lighting is bright, and darken when I'm upset/sad or the lighting is dark. Snow's eyes were going to be able to do the same thing and I thought best to do it in blue.

Sharing Personal Thoughts, #3: Character, Fursona, and OC Names

Where do they come from?:

Well, my head of course! At least, for the most part. I take short sounds and maybe one or two words and piece them together to make a really nice sounding name, then I work on the spelling. I have taken maybe one or two from books and movies, changed it up, and made it my own. However, for most of them, the first one is more fitting.

Naming a new character is like naming a new child (not that I've done that before, but I'm sure it feels the same). I make the character and give them a personality. I then think about that character for a long time, and I mean long, before I come up with a good name. Rhea (First Appearance: Ecko Nightshade drawing, furry on the right), was existent for over a year with no name before someone mentioned that name to me (thank you btw).

Sharing Personal Thoughts, #2: Yuki Kisami

Gender-bent Snow?:
Yuki Kisami wasn't orginally going to be an entirely separate character on her own. A female snow vixen with a cold killer personality on the field but a lovely one off of it. She takes the role of Alpha-Two, or Beta (Snow is the Alpha) in Verdict War. Another way of saying second in command in Alpha assault team.

Her original design was going to be very much so like Snow's and was originally going to be used for roleplay only. She was meant to be gender-bent Snow, or Snow as a girl. I mean, Yuki is Japanese for Snow and they both have white fur with black furtoos (tattoos for furries). She was never meant to be a whole 'nother character on her own.

Just a bit of insight on where some of my characters come from.

Sharing Personal Thoughts, #1: I Miss My Old Furrends

Self Regret:
It's been a while since I've seen them, or talked to them and I just figured it would be nice to do that again. I have gone through many different changes becoming a furry and establishing myself as well as my character, and they helped me through it all. I loved being able to smile and have fun with them all the time, furries of many different ages just hanging out and having fun. I of course stuck a bit closer to my age group, but did not hesitate to start conversation with anyone outside of it. Then, it was much easier for me to get stuff done as we'd always get together and work stuff out with each other, kinda like our own little community.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't take for granted the little things in life that make you smile. Cherish it and keep it with you. Their memory still makes me smile today. Now I do hope to see them again, and even more that they remember me and the fun kind of guy I used to be. Maybe they could bring that guy back out again.

I can't decide whether or not I want to post Verdict War the same way I posted this message, chapter by chapter on this website. Reason being, I'd love for everyone to read it, but have a feeling it will be gravely overlooked due to its length and my not-so-professional writing/story-building skills.
I can't do comics, I've tried that and I don't understand how it works.

I guess one of my biggest controversies is that I am missing a lot of stuff needed for the story's visualization to flow a lot better. For starters, cover art and concept art. Most of the objects in the story are sci-fi, since the story takes place after the fall of Earth (obviously the future) and humans now live with anthros on an exo planet. (An entire short story will cover that part, but not Verdict War).

Just a thought of mine, help is welcome, but not required. And, if you do help, thank you ahead of time.

I have decided to start a contest that is themed as military. Participants can create whatever they like, (vehicles, weapons, characters, etc. even cover art for the book as I have yet to make any) as long as it fits with the Verdict War style.

The winner will get a chance to have what they drew in the story.

Verdict War is a chapter book about a lead assault team (Alpha Frontal Assault: ShadeTech Division Military Corps) who is fighting a war against terrorists, the Red Army. It involves sacrifices, hard decisions, a lot of sad moments, and the (re)discovery of magic.

If you decide to make a character, he/she doesn't have to be military, there are civilians in the story as well. I will announce the winner on December 9th and ask permission to use the object/character in the story. It is up to you whether you want it be used or not. If not, I ask the next person.

Note: I may ask to use a cover art and another drawing. All credit will be given to the artist who made the used work, which will be shown by the artist's username, the name of the work, and the date it was created. If the art itself isn't physically used in the book, but what the art showed was, it will also be credited to the original artist.

ex. John Doe drew a truck that won and agreed to it being used. I'd use the truck in the story plot, but not the image of the truck. He'd still get credited by his name going on a special page saying that he came up with the idea, the name of the original art, where to find it online, and when it was created.

I might also start posting the story in topics, chapter by chapter. I don't do manga's as it's too confusing to me to try them just yet.

This is my gear that I use for making most of my traditional art. Gear/materials are very important, the more the merrier, with the acceptance that there is such a thing as 'too much'. Although materials are important, it is also important to remember that they don't make an artist good or bad, the artist does.
Art is a pure form of translating a picture from a creative mind or reference onto a canvas. In that sense, art alone is beautiful. Of course you can't have that beauty without the artist.

My guitar was in the background and I had decided to add it into the picture, otherwise it was propped against the wall.

Also, I just received a blank canvas and have some complications trying to figure out what to depict on it, so I'm asking everyone else. What would you like to see me do with the blank canvas?
