so i wrote this comment like 4 months ago under a post about a leaked botw remaster, and the codename for the game had an OZ in it where the name of the console would usually be that the game was made for. with the new pokemon leaks going around from the 13th, the switch 2's working title is Ounce. so i basically predicted it lmao

um so I have been having quite irregular sleep patterns (sometimes going to bed at 8:30, sometimes 10pm, waking up at 5am constantly), I've been a little irritated lately, haven't been wanting to draw that much/have been hating my art style, have been crying a lot over little dumb things/nothing at all
and I did a little bit of research
and it's kinda all pointing to depression
and I don't wanna say anything yet or self diagnose or anything like that
and I'm genuinely not in any trouble (I don't think) (like I'm not gonna kms or anything)
I just wanna know what everyone else here thinks since I cant really get a professional opinion/help atm?
like, what do I do with this information. I can't tell my parents because I'm pretty sure the source of it is something they'd get super mad at me for being involved in (no I'm not doing drugs or anything)
but just let me know what I should do. like am I supposed to text crisis hotline or something because again I can't get a therapist and I can't talk to my parents and if I talk to my friends it's gonna be weird because we never really talk about that kinda stuff?

hey

okay so I may have binged the entirety of the hunger games in like 2 weeks (just the first book not the series) and here's my thoughts
I think it was pretty good, I can see why it's very popular nowadays since it had a lot of good stuff in it
the romance wasn't too forced and I quite liked the ratio of love : violence
defying the government very cool too
I really liked the detail where panem was built on the remains of the united states, that sounds metal as hell idk why they glossed over it in the actual book
overall id give it like an 8.7 for being quite the unique specimen
next I am off to read the wild robot wish me luck lmaooo

I wanna be able to do inktober this year but idk if I'm gonna be able to do it....
I have the ideas and everything down but I have a lotta stuff to do this month what with my costume STILL NOT BEING FINISHED and I also have a bunch of other stuff to work on like schoolwork is going crazy lately
I wanna do it I just don't know when I'll be able to. I can probably do Friday-monday but the rest of the week is a mystery
I might schedule it so I just have 4 days a week instead of 7 and then fill in the gaps then?? idk.

wild robot review

the movie, not the book. i read the book in 2016 i dont remember every detail i need to read it again
anyways. i remember the book being about a robot who is stranded in the wilderness and needs to mimic the behaviors of the animals around it so that it can survive, and ends up getting attached to the forest and protects the life around it.
while this is what the fundamentals of both pieces of media are, i think the movie could have hearkened more to the idea. there is a lot of dialogue, and while most of it is actually pretty good, parts of it are just for entertainment value or its just... the geese who bullied brightbill.... that part was bad
i think that the movie would have promoted the core elements of the story better if there was no dialogue unless it came from humans (or roz, or other rozzums). the point of the story was that its animals, not humans. roz is surrounded by things that are inherently nonhuman and that is what makes her special. making the animals talk is what makes them human. that is not a good thing. at the very least there should have been no dialogue in the first 30 minutes just to solidify the fact that on that island, roz is alone. she is the only thing that has been touched by humanity. over time, she could gradually start to talk more in chirps and other such animal noises, and the fact that its animated makes it even easier to use ones body as a language in itself. that would have been a great movie.
however, i think that even though the movie took this in the opposite direction, it still ended up doing its job really well. the animation was phenomenal, the story we got was really heartwarming (i cried when brightbill migrated) and i quite enjoyed roz's characterisation in the movie. the only real gripe i have with the product that was given to us is Vontra i absolutely think it was unnecessary to have it in the film. especially how fluid it seemed, it was just really human to me and i get thats the point but its character design didnt really fit in with everything else. especially the part where it literally flies for no reason like i get the tractor beam is a thing but really??? tentacle robot??? come on man
anyways id love to know what you guys thought of the movie and/or the book
