Charles, that's a very common thing that people online do when they're called out. It's a way to make themselves look like a victim, well, either that or they hate not being able to walk all over people without consequences The point is to make you feel bad, guilt tripping is a form of manipulation meant to appeal to people that are nicer than themselves
