The Victory Day of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression is a commemorative day established to honor the victory of the war. It falls on September 3rd every year.
On August 15, 1945, Emperor Hirohito of Japan announced the unconditional surrender by broadcasting the "Peace Declaration", accepting the Potsdam Proclamation; on September 2, the Japanese government officially signed the surrender document, marking the final victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
