Apperantly you are not the first one to encounter this problem.
I was just watching Death Note (not Netflix version) a couple weeks ago and I just thought the ending was beautiful (well I skipped like 15 eps but I'm gonna go back lol). So, I wanted to do a poll on who people would like more :! L or Light

Personally, sorry to some people, I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Light. Honestly I was pretty surprised because I thought I would like L more. (It's probably because he's hot T-T darn I always fall for the bishounens.)

> Underdragon I agree, but I dunno. I think I just heard too much about how terrible Light was and how awesome L was that it didn't live up to my expectations. Light was a lot more intelligent and mature than I what I had in mind as well as not being completely insane. I did dislike his whole situation with Misa, but oh well. The plus factor of Death Note for me was the ending. I thought it was beautiful and I really liked the lighting when Light died(Also the facial expression). though, I was a bit let down by how weak he was to death... Overall the ending scored points for me just like how the ending of season 2 of Tokyo Ghoul also was really tranquil.

I think that Death Note is interesting because it follows a guy who is usually the villain in anime series: That guy who says “I will change the world according to my vision and I won’t stop at anything to do it. All sacrifices will be worth it.” I think that Light is right when he says that we can’t maintain this Statu Quo, but I prefer L since Light took this bad guy philosophy too far, becoming kind of a villain in the process.
