So recently I've been feeling v emotional bc I just came back from the Home Country (at this point yinz/you young ones can probably guess it)
And no I don't know how to speak the main dialect pls don't attack me literally everyone there was spittin some crazy syllables and I was trying hard not to look like the foreigner I was
Now I got that good feeling of post travel depression (it's like,, a v great feeling) and it got me thinking, “hm, I can't speak the language, I feel just a bit (and by that I mean a decent amount bc sarcasm) disassociated from this place!”
So yeah in the end this is just me thinking just because I don't got native tongue I don't feel right to be called a pinoy because speaking the language (if there be one) is a huge part of the culture, right? And cultures are uniquely diverse in their own way and man I feel bad

also have this flawed english that I caught; the store spelled “liquor” incorrectly outside and on the inside, a sign spelled it just fine
The funny thing about this is my dad literally told the employees in their native tongue that it was spelled wrong and their expressions were priceless

Honestly, words CANNOT describe how grand they were they were just– I can’t even form words ooh my
AND YES. I HAD THE COURAGE TO GIVE THEM THE “POTRAITS” I MADE FOR THE OCCASION.

Okay so my parents went extra and bought meet n greet stuff and we arrived there early on a sChOOl dAy of ALL days, MONDAY oof and we stayed for like 7 hours but it was worth it

Apparently, we were first in line to meet them and I was quaking really hard (plus the venue was cold af) then the boys came out and I was starting to hyperventilate?? Idk I lost my cool then we went up to them!

I gave the drawings to each of them and the moment that struck me the hardest was when the lead singer, Jack (guy with funny hat) asked “Whoa!! Who drew this?” And my family pointed at me and Jack was like “You are so talented! This is like the best art we’ve received so far on tour” And atm I felt my heart just skip a beat I swear then another member came up to me, RYAN and he asked “How’d you do this?” And obviously me being shook I tried not to make my words shaky lol
Then the last member Adam said “thank you, this is very nice” BUT THE BEST THING IS THAT HE’S THE QUIET ONE AND HIS VOICE IS SO PURE AND PRECIOUS

After all that mess, we did a picture together, but ofc I looked awkward
BUT IT WAS WORTH IT!

They are truly amazing people and now I’m just going through post concert depression I ain’t gettin’ over it 😪🤙

OKAY UM besides that, if you read the last post, it was about someone commenting on my drawings in a coloring book but I only got like 1 bc apparently it was busy tonight yikes (they wrote in blue I wrote in black)

if you read all of this, gj i am much of a rambler albeit my shyness 🙃

A little backstory so uh I volunteer at this small reception office and in the back of the room (the room is so small oof) and there's a cabinet of magazines in there right

When I started this shift, I found this coloring book that I draw at the back pages since they're blank and lowkey hoped no one saw what I drew in there

UNTIL today when I looked in it apparently umm someone DID see my drawings and oh boy their responses were hilarious af
The place that I work at is pretty quiet and I was trying hard not to sound loud from shock bc I didn't think someone would find that coloring book 🤔
But I'll probably show it next week (I only go there every Friday)
But I drew something else tonight and I wonder if that person will keep looking for new drawings..

ANYWAY

On the day back I was hit full force with homework and ngl I actually missed being productive (crazy am I right?) Well thankfully one of the things I had to do was the

If you don’t know what it is, it’s basically like a hermit shell crab design.. but with math! shocking i know

Basically, we had to construct one and ofc I did it like a billion times because i could nOt get 17 >:/
And we had to make a design surrounding it so I made this and yes, I know it’s a bit confusing but tbh.. I actually like it

The design is based on this game called Off and oh boy that game is too underrated so I wanted to make a bit of a tribute to it lol

On that last drawing I posted I said I had many mistakes (and it really does) but one thing ONE THING I shouldn't have forgotten was that the guy on the left and the guy on the right have beards..!

I sound hysterical rn but I can't bleeve I've done that lol

iT is finally a year since I tried this app and oh boy did I learn a lot of things and how to properly use it heheh
And I love the fact that it's on the day before the New Year too!

Oof I remember struggling so much when I was trying to draw and color.. I was gonna give up but I knew this app is better than I used before (i came from a simple drawing app lol)

For this year I want to start doing more anatomy practice and finding my style
Those are the main goals which I'll (hopefully) achieve somehow

But other than my rambling, have a great year! Hopefully it'll be a great one! Learn something, try doing something new idk *insert something inspirational speech* 🎉🎉🎊🎊🌟💫
