Oh hey I just reached 50 followers. Thank you all very much( even though more than half of those are dead).

So on this occasion I'm hosting a contest:
Create a character.
Add a description and/or draw them.
Give them a profile. It must include their name. Add as much info as you want.
They must be humanoid.
Also preferably english entries.

The main prize will be: a manga starring the winning character.
Second place will be another important character (could be either antagonist or main love interest).
Third to ? place will also be added in some way as side characters.

What will the manga be about? That I don't know yet. It all depends on what kind of characters you send me.

How many characters can one enter? Infinite! So enter as many characters as sand on the seaside.

Leave your character as a comment here or tell me to look for the image so that no character will be left out.

Contest ends on the 15th of April.

If you do not want to be recognized but just want to add a character into the mix, then you can leave an anonymous comment. You won't be able to get a request-prize though.

Best design gets 1 free ANIMATION request.
Most interesting character gets 1 free ANIMATION request
2nd place will get 1 Drawing request.
3rd place will get 1 Drawing request, but I will emulate their style.
4th place will get 1 drawing request size ~1024*~1024
5th place will get 1 drawing request size ~512*~512
6th place will get 1 drawing request in Large 32bit-sprite style

I wanted to draw something amazing, but I just couldn't picture how the picture should look like. I also couldn't imagine her in her entirety since she is alien and all that. But I didn't want to give up entirely so I just traced and simplified the picture. I hope you are fine with that.

P.S.:Wow what a ego-centric post! There are more "I"s in this post than on a spider's face.

P.P.S.: Also hurray, I can read comments on PC again.

Where did it go?

So when I go to check on replies on commentsand notifications I find an updated GUI and the "comments" and "informtion" tab missing.
It seems to work on my smartphone, but I am on my PC right now.

Does anyone else have this problem?

So I haven't been drawing in the last few days because I went to a wedding and then to an art exhibition in Klang (theartpeoplegallery.com the exhibition by Lisa Wong Sook Kuan if anyone is interested) and then there was a BBQ with relatives and even more eating...

And now I have forgotten how to draw ;P

I need advice

So the last 5 illustrations I uploaded got horrifically low amounts of views, at least compared to my other pictures. Even my previously lowest viewed picture has 135 views, but that one is ugly and done lazily so I can understand why it is so low.
My latest one however is only at 57 views, is part of a big fandom and I personally like it alot.
So now I come to you: What should I improve to get back over 100 views per picture? Do you hate my illustrations? Should I move to the japanese server? Is there a culture I should get into? Do you want me to create community content (aka Contests, Q&A, Requests, Collabs, Memes, Art Trades, thank you speeches for X followers etc.)

Or should I quit Medibang and try a different plattform?

All feedback is welcome and I mean it when I say ALL!

I am done with my manga

And with done I mean fed up, annoyed, discontented, sick and tired of it.

I got really lazy towards the end plus I got frustrated with my internet and missed the deadline for the 2nd shounen weekly contest.

I don't think I will go back to it, except if there is a large demand. And I mean LARGE.

But it also means I have more time for random drawings. Hurray!

Plans for November

So October is over and I have played with the program and am now fairly familiar with it.
That is why IT IS NOW TIME TO GET SERIOUS.

My goal is to finish my project "Ace Prosecutor Gordon" which I am currently stuck on. But since there is no deadline I do not need to hurry.

But my primary goal for November is to draw a manga and enter into the Jump Contest. I haven't written a story yet, so yeah...

Anyway since this will take a lot of time away from my daily illustrations the quality will definitely drop.

So I come to you guys, what would you rather see from me? Would you rather like one quick scribble a day or rather higher quality ones but over a week or so?

Happy 500th Reformation Day

Are you celebrating Reformation or Halloween?

I never understood why people would celebrate a day of the occult. What did the ghosts ever do for any of us, except scare us into not being able to go out in the dark? Did Halloween change world history or saved peoples lives? I don't think so.

You go out on the streets and ask who Martin Luther was and people will not have a clue (or get him mixed up with Martin Luther King Jr.). However thanks to him and the Reformation our world has been changed.

If you go to school, it's thanks to the reformation. If you go to a evangelical church (esp. lutheran one) it's thanks to the reformation. If you read the bible in your language it's also the reformation (though probably by different people). If you are not paying for pieces of paper that buy your soul from purgatory: Reformation.

I can understand if you are catholic, then the reformation is a big black mark in your history.

But if you still want to celebrate Halloween then do so. As long as you celebrate it the way you celebrate christmas(i.e. devoid of any meaning) then it's fine.

Result for Ghost.E and Honey Cone

First come, first serve. For Ghost.E I had to browse through the entire gallery to find similarities in the art as there is a good amount of variety in her characters. But the defining feature are definetly the eyes that overlap the hair. For colors I had to guess as that is my weakest area when drawing. Also I should have drawn some gore elements and made the ears match the hair.

For Honey Cone's there was no real need to browse the entire gallery as the majority of pictures is traditional medium and difficult to study. But what makes Honey Cone's art unique is that it is very uniform. I did not find the color pallete she uploaded, but I don't think it was necessary as 80% of the colors are a shade of pink. But after drawing once I think my version turmed out very mechanical and deliberate. There should be more free flowing lines and disjointed connections, as well as bleeding colors. Also another gore artist. What is wrong with you people?

  • > ♡ Honey Cone ♡ Pink is the color I tend to avoid normaly. Usually I tend to draw Knights, space marines and other military stuff, so pink is very innapropriate in those kinds of images.
