When all the lights go off and the voices outside stop
The shadows come out to play.they stalk and watch me standing as still a the breath that was caught in my throat at the sight of them.
They whisper to me they want me to join them they say I can fly like an angel and touch the sky and make friends with the stars normally I would decline but tonight my shaky arms can't be lifted from my sides
They hand me a knife as the tears well up in my eyes and they ask do you want to touch the sky?and I reply.yes.

So everyone said that it gets better. Everyone said things will brighten up. Everyone said that I will see a sunny day. But it has gotten worse. It has gotten darker. The clouds cover up the skies. I can’t even pick up a knife anymore without thinking of my blood on the floor.

Okay, for my open species I was thinking a maned wolf, a spring dragon, and a kitsune. (I’m not too sure about the kitsune but if you have any ideas, let me know.) when I get back home I’ll try and sketch it out to see what you guys think (art not mine)
