That depends on the overall impression your drawings give. For Cel-shade, simply use a red to yellow tone that is almost white as a base (for white people). Use a more darker and more redish tone for shadow and use a lighter tone that goes into the direction of the scenery hue. Keep the shadows solid and at the end you can add a bit more shade with airbrush.

For me lostening to music while sketching makes me distracted. Instead of making a figure, ill make some jagged lines whenever i listen to the beat.
