Can y'all help me figure this out please

I've heard that people think the word ree is a bad word do any of you know why and if you can could you calmly explain why?

(Please don't get mad at me for saying or asking about this I am just wondering cuz I'm totally confused I've heard autistic people are usually people who take offense to this word and I think I might be autistic but I find this word not offensive if you know why people think this is a bad word again please explain calmly why that is?)
