Rant about somethin

So, when we are little kids, most of our parents say "you can be whatever you want to be", right? BUT wheb you tell your parents that you are genderfluid, trans, gay, bi, etc, they say, "that's stupid" or "what's wrong with you". I know they don't say that or most but it's something along that line. So why do they tell you that you can be whatever you want to be but they won't let you be a different gender or sexuality?

  • Too many parents are unaccepting and the whole "IF YER "INSERT SEXUALITY OR OTHER HERE" YOU WONT PASS DOWN THE BLOOD LINE" or it often has to do with religion and society constraints. Sometimes they're like oh it's just a phase. They're raised in the old ways often and different sexualities and genders are seen as taboo and I have no clue why??
