Let's apply background images to your artwork!
2021-02-19
This is the 2nd tutorial for resources available on ART street.
There are many background images available on ART street Resources!
If you don't like drawing backgrounds, why not use background images?
This tutorial will explain how you can use them!
Here are the materials used in this tutorial.
First, let's apply the image to the canvas.
(1)Open the background image file in MediBang Paint.
(2)Go to Edit > Copy
(3)Open a file to apply the background to.
(2)Go to Edit > Paste
That's how you apply the background image!
Let's draw a character that goes with this background image.
Since it has stairs, I will draw 2 girls that are hanging out after school.
Set the layer opacity to 20% and roughly sketch the characters.
Roughly paint the hair, outfit, skin, etc. while thinking about the silhouette.
Adjust the silhouette before adding details.
The character is done!
Let's add colors to the background.
I used pen, watercolor (square), watercolor (wet), etc. to paint the background.
Since it is an afterschool scene, I added a sunset.
I also roughly added colors to the apartment.
I painted the cloud with the acrylic and cloud 2 brush.
Try using different colors to make the sky enchanting!
I also added a white cloud.
Lower the opacity of the cloud layer to blend it in.
Roughly paint the trees.
Then paint the stairs and the railing.
It would be a pain to paint the railing by hand, so I used the bucket tool.
For the stairs, I used watercolor (square).
If you add school bags, it looks like an after school scene!
I added details to the stairs, such as the shadows of the characters and bags.
Next I add details to the apartment.
You should try experimenting with different background images.
If you do, be sure to post on ART street!
