I'm following a lot of age regressors on TikTok and I've been seeing a lot of hate comments on their posts. For those who don't know, age regression is when someone temporarily reverts to a younger mindset as a coping mechanism. There's a stigma surrounding it because people think it's the same as DDLG and its variants or ageplay, both of which are sexual kinks while regression is NOT. When someone regresses, they usually just play/cuddle with stuffed animals, watch cartoons, color in coloring books and do other things to make them feel young again. It's a way of coping with stress, depression, PTSD and/or childhood trauma. But because of that stigma, everyone thinks that regressors are perverts, pedophiles or mentally ill when they're not. I used to be an age regressor myself but as of a couple days ago, I decided to take a break from age regression before I decide whether I want to give it up completely or not.
