I like how the ancient roman armor looks like. It is one of those things where you immediatly recognize: this is a Roman warrior.
You can't do that with medieval armor unless you have studied them. Like is the Knight in gothic white armor a german or did a englishman buy it? That man with the chainmail and surcoat; is he french or danish? The guy in the thick fur coat is a barbarian warrior? Or just a dude in the cold?
