I thought about curiosity- about art and a love of life and adventure, and could think of nothing better to represent that for me than an artist who adventurously seeks new views, new scenery, and new scenes bursting with life and beauty to fuel their inspiration. I think Kumamoto itself is a place full of wonders such as that, and I hoped to convey that feeling!
