I saw her on a dirty ceiling. The muddy and ivory parts of the whitewashed concrete wall made out the shape of a little girl holding an umbrella before my widening eyes. She was standing alone in midst of a murky cosmos-like background, wearing an ambiguous melancholy smile. I named her Jan. She was my inspiration for a short story which I called IN. Even though now, I still found it weird to find my Muse on a ceiling, especially a soiled one (`v`).
Anyway, that was how I came up with this illustration. Though it did not really look like what I intended or saw from the begginning. I'm not very contented in the end, yet she's still my Muse so I decided to give her a spot in my gallery. So here she is!
