Not so long ago Pancake Day (a traditional holiday with pancakes, festivities and the burning of effigies) took place. Shrovetide is a celebration of seeing off winter and also the time before Lent, which will last 48 days, so many people eat and party in advance. And I remembered going out with re-enactors and partying in the clothes of yesteryear before I moved to another part of the country. I'll be making drawings from other photos, lots of interesting ones 😃.
