was anyone obsessed or just really like ouran host club (the anime/manga) when they were younger? I first watched the anime when I was like 11ish? And I didn't understand most of the jokes to tropes but I thought it was cute. and the theme song is iconic in my opinion
however- when I rewatched it when I was like, 14ish- I can never look at it the same way again. IDK WHY MY 11 YEAR OLD BRAIN DIDN'T PICK UP THE FACT THAT THE TWINS HAD SOMETHING UNWHOLESOME GOING ON BUT DUDE
the whole twin gimmick is just- n a s t y. bros, its literally incest and I'm not investing in that 😭😭😭 I think the twin characters are great, just not their literal bromance 💀
I can't remember names but if you've watched it, you know- smol bean and bodyguard guy were also a weird gimmick. I mean smol bean looks like a child which was really popular in the early to late 2000's for anime and mangas I guess? idk- loli (adult/teen characters that purposefully look like children, idk the proper term for it) characters that are supposed to be love interests just weird me out bc its like the mc is flirting with a c h i l d. but I think smol beans and bodyguard's relationship was cute, idk maybe I'm lying to myself 😭😭😭
tho I have to say, I feel like this entire manga/anime was a fever dream and I still love it. And I still love Tamaki, the only name I remembered bc who could not remember him. He kind of reminds me of James from Pokemon- they're both so flamboyant
