I sit and watch
As days go by
And eventually we are all
Left behind

But sometimes I
Just feel so numb
Yet no one sees
That i am done

I smile and laugh
I talk and play
So that other shall
Have their way

For the girl that is
Happy and proud
With many achievements
To show the crowd

But i don't want
To live to this height
Lower the bar
With all my might

But day and night
They say i might
Be great someday
Later in life

I need a break
From this stress
And the overwhelming burden
On my chest

For I'm a child
Yet treated as if
I'm older
Not giving me
A chance to fall
.
I need to live
Up to the standard
Or else they all
Will be dissapointed in me

But no one sees
My crys and pleas
So I'll just leave
And go to sleep
