i was too much of a tryhard in english
the assignment was to make sentences using different words with different roots. Come up with two words with the root, then make a sentence with one of those words
AND SOMEHOW I MADE A WHOLE STORYTT OUT OF IT??
here im copy pasting it i dont want it to disappear into the void forever

---Astro---- not committed to making a story or anything
The astronaut prepared to repair the spaceship.

----Ject---- Becomes surprised I can string these together
The astronaut was then ejected from the spaceship, nearly missing where he was supposed to go.

---Mort---- Is now wondering how long i can do it, feeling cocky enough to include both words

Mortified that the repair had already gone off track, the astronaut became overly aware of his own mortality in the infinite vacumn of space.

--Capt---- is pretty committed----

He longed for the security of the escape capsule, but he couldn't reach back near the door until he finished the job. Capitalizing on his position near the broken panel, he reached for the handle and began to fix the spaceship.

---path--- entering author mode

Feeling more than a little antipathy towards his fellow astronaut, who had won the rock-paper-scissors game for the repair and was now smiling in the spaceship, the astronaut placed a larger metal panel over the first, making a pathetic but ultimately serviceable patch.

---gest--- evolves into an absurd level of fluff

The astronaut began to weld the patch in place, scoffing at his coworker's earlier suggestion to bring a smaller piece of metal. This one worked very well. But as he worked, a shadow crept over the gleaming side of the spaceship, plunging his workspace into darkness. Turning to see what was behind him, the astronaut met the eyes of a giagantic, colorful orange eel floating in the darkness- the strangest sight he had ever seen in his years among the stars.

--metro--- IS DETERMINED TO FINISH DESPITE NOT HAVING WORDS FOR METRO

Moving against the ship to avoid the creature's gaze, the astronaut began to realize what he was seeing. It had a long serpentine body, and its fins swished against the nothingness like a metronome, unvarying in rhythm. This was one of the creatures that they had claimed infested space, that even the most eminent metrologist couldn't measure. The one that all of his colleagues had witnessed but him.

AND THEN THE LESSON ENDS
that took me way longer than it should have im gonna do... everything else now
