It's just copying a reference, trying to get it as accurate as possible. It helps you look at how the pros draw and add details. So I first draw a block-out, or a silhouette, then I sketch and constantly look back at my reference. Then ink!

I see people write these little excerpts online and they’re so poetic and smooth I want to smother my face in a pillow and scream.
I know I’m not describing this very well, but does anyone know how to write like this? Or at least does anyone have any advice for getting better at writing?
Should I study poetry? Does anyone have any good poems for me to study?
