Does anyone have any advice

For writing better?
I see people write these little excerpts online and they’re so poetic and smooth I want to smother my face in a pillow and scream.
I know I’m not describing this very well, but does anyone know how to write like this? Or at least does anyone have any advice for getting better at writing?
Should I study poetry? Does anyone have any good poems for me to study?

  • I'm not exactly a writer- Though I do have fun with it sometimes. But I know there are these "rules" (make or break them) for smoother-sounding sentences in stories. Things like sensory language can help readers immerse themselves in a scene (use smell, sight, colours, and touch to your advantage), and there's alliteration techniques (example: sweet smile, wonderful world, cold catacombs) and more techniques! I recommend looking up "different language techniques" on Google, and take a look at what I'm talking about =>

I’m gonna start the rumbling

I was sitting with my friends n stuff then SUDDENLY a soccer ball is kicked at me from not too far away, and that thing SLAMMED INTO MY BAD HIP- I swear the sound of the soccer ball hitting me made an echo 😭😭
I was trying to calm myself down from the pain but since it’s my bad hip it immediately felt like it was lit on fire, so I accidentally cried in front of my friends :/
I had to get an ice pack then keep it on my hip, I felt like I got hit by a car bro 😭 it’s giving Rider from Centaurworld when she gets stabbed 🗿
Anyway, that was a storytime from today! Yippie!! My hip is in agony

i feel so chatty and ranty =[ all the people i've been replying to/commenting to are probably like "erm when did i ask for a whole article" XD
haaaaa i'm lonely =D i need irl friends but the homeschool life has cons
and it feels like people just don't really want to talk to me, irl and online ;0; i wish i had a bff irl that i saw for more than 2 times a year -_- and the only friends i see regularly (although i wont be seeing those friends for over a month probably) aren't very close to me, and it feels like they don't really like that much either-- often times i feel like the third wheel too =I i see so many groups/pairs of friends who seem inseparable, who are always walking together, always sharing inside jokes ect, and i just... wish i had that, yknow ??
if someone does finally like me, welp i'm jumping straight to the next problem to worry about and that's losing them-- either by them changing their mind about me/me doing something wrong, or having to go separate ways (because all my regular friends are at sports, and having friends at sports isn't a very solid or consistent way of forming strong forever bonds if that makes sense)
