Okay so it's night, I'm on my phone so idk how organized or how this sounds but this art theft has honestly gone too far. I will make a better post in the morning with more evidence but for right now I will explain the situation to the best of my ability and I hope that you will actively research this, look at her page, and see what I'm saying.
As of right now the post in talking about is now, I think, not there anymore. She either deleted it or my report of it went through and they took it down. Again, I shall supply the screenshots in the morning however I can link screenshots of the convo to show you want I'm talking about.
Anyway, hikari essentially stole someone's art of present mic and the meme of presentation Michael, deliberately covered the pen name of the original artist called 'o sheets', submitted it to artstreet and claimed to have drew the art and even coming up with the meme and even went the extra mile of entering it into a profitable contest for mha ocs. When I questioned her about it, she claimed to have posted it to another site in 2018 but failed, after I directly asked her, to give me a direct link or any solid information as to look at this post and authenticate it as well. After that, she began deliberately ghosting the group chat after all of this went down (as seen on her activity section on her profile) and her post, now deleted, did receive a level one as well as 16 likes too.
She even claimed to report the possible original artist of the picture too when I presented her with the evidence from this link: https://myheroacademia.fandom.com/f/p/3216274079350979178
Now the screenshot of her post and tampered art don't show it's by her but again I have that full screenshot in my computer and will show it tomorrow.
There's a difference between having different art styles and a difference between art experience, maturity, and technique. No matter what style or styles you draw in, that art experience, etc., Will trickle down with it. By this I mean how you compose your art, the pens, the clarity, the professionalism, and understanding, for each style, of things like anatomy, hair physics, clothing and etc.
It's obvious, by her posts on art street, when she's tracing, reposting, or using bases (and not giving credit too) because, not to sound mean, there's an obvious difference in the experience, technique, and maturity in the art present. It's not just style but they're literally from different artists. Don't send hate to her but look at her posts, research ones that look suspicious and say hey, this looks like a base or a traced picture, can you give credit or proof you made it or even take it down? Also, I do think hikari should apologize- not to us but to the og artist, even if they don't see it it's still out there and shows an emission if guilt and the justification of giving her a second chance. People put so much effort, care, love, etc. Into them just for this to happen, it's not fair.
It's better to be wrong and to have tried than to have been possibly right and let an art theft go. If you think or know someone's stealing art, confront them in a polite and understanding manor and get to the bottom of it. Thank you for reading and I will provide more evidence in the morning.
