Some ocs from my Sanctuary Universe. Anya is a Zookeeper/ guardian to these two werewolves. Nyx is the girl, Rowan is the guy in the middle.

Do you ever forget you exist? Like you look in the mirror and it just hits you that people can see your face and you’re not actually a brain floating in a void? Or you hear your name and it just feels different; not bad or good, just strange, like I actually have a sound dedicated to my personal body??
I oftentimes feel like this, maybe once a day? I sometimes don’t care about bumping into things so I just continue bumping into a wall or smacking my hand on a corner because I feel so disconnected that the pain doesn’t really matter.
Is there an official name for this feeling? I would like a name for it, something to call it so I don’t feel so strange about it. A word to hold on to, to make it feel less alien to me.

Miss someone so bad it hurts but then you realize that the person you’re missing is just a story your brain made up and those emotions are just disconnected projections? Funky, right?
You have this whole story and emotions and shreds of memories all gummed up together, making up this person. You see yourself alone at night, missing the smell of something that you can’t remember, feeling longing for memories you made up. You see the future, full of bright joy but stained with regret. You regret not doing anything. You regret doing a thing. You wish you could go back to when you were younger and she still hugged you and pushed you on the swing and loved you and coddled you— this is another projection.
You are yanked backward and realize she’s still there. You are still small. And it’s not as sad as you think. The regrets are small and you made them with good intention. And she’s not who you think she is. It’s still okay, and you know now how to fix things and know what to do.
It’s not that sad.
Sometimes I disappear and I become a mind without body. I see forward, now, the faraway memories. I sometimes feel like my mind travels to the future. It makes things strange, but comforting, knowing that I can still fix it.

How dare they tell her , or anyone , that. Tell your sister she is an amazing alpha and that the people that are telling her otherwise or just jealous of her.
1. He can change fur/feather color either by will or (oftentimes) emotion.
2. When he travels, sometimes he changes his colors to match the environment. I.e., at the Grand Canyon, his legs will turn orange to match the ground, and his long fur will dull or turn yellowed to match the plants.
3. He cannot change antler color, bones, or flesh color.
4. As a fawn, his mom affectionately called him Moose because when she first adopted him, he tried telling her his name, but it came out as Moose.
5. Moss met Adrian (his now husband) for the first time as a young fawn, when Adrian was with his mom on a patrol ( she’s a park ranger). Moss was practicing plant magic.
6. Moss wore a dress to his wedding.
7. Moss has to awkwardly sleep on his side for summer and fall because of his antlers.
8. The Four - Adrian, Moss, Yaki and Vanilla (Yaki’s wife) have code names.

For my Universe, Feral, I used to call all the non-human beings (basically furries/scalies/avians) Ferals. But I’ve decided that it’s now an insult/slur that racist humans use, since it basically means “wild/untamed animal.” These creatures are very human, so it really doesn’t make sense to call them Feral. Do you have any names I can use instead? Something that can be used for all non-human beings.

Second is a wip of something I might finish tomorrow. (it’s a tribute to Wolf Week, an art challenge to educate about wolf facts and stop the new hunting law. In late 2020, President Shit-toupeé Gerber-carrot tan Tromp removed North American wolves from the endangered list. Since then, a new law is going to be made: 90% of all Wolves in North America can be hunted by ANY means available, and in Wisconsin this also means by hunting dogs, a barbaric practice banned in the other states. If this law passes, it means trophy hunters can kill wolf pups, packs, any wolf. There are only around 300,000 wolves left in the world. This law isn’t about population control, nor about livestock or danger to humans. It’s blatant, unwarranted fear.

I just got this biology book for school and it is FUCKING AWESOME. I flipped to this glorious page!,!!
Look. Fucking look at how awesome it is. This book came out in 2021, so it’s finally updated (FINALLY.) about some genders (not all but SOME). You cannot believe how excited I was to find this is MY SCIENCE BOOK. MY MOTHER-to the-FUCKING BIOLOGY BOOK. I got it at Costco for 11 dollars, but you can probably get it on Amazon.
